Your everyday makeup won't translate on camera the same as it does in person. 

Having a professional handle your look produces a more polished aesthetic in your images.  This is a special day so you want to look special too!

Your wedding day is a long day and having a professional assist you helps ensure that your look lasts all day.

Many makeup artists will offer a trial run for your wedding day look.  I suggest using that trial run for your engagement shoot. That way you and your makeup artist can make any necessary tweaks before the wedding day.
